Who we are
At Royal Live Edge Slabs, we specialize in turning salvaged logs into high-quality, character-rich slabs. We’re a small operation built on hard work and experience. Every log or tree we salvage is differnent and we aim to continue use these logs for a valuable purpose as opposed to waste.
We started out just like many of our customers—curious, motivated, and interested in what brought the large value to Live Edge Furniture. What began as a few slabs from a reclaimed log and an idea that turned into months of trial and error, figuring things out the hard way, breaking equiptment and learning as we go. Building our own tables taught us just how much goes into a finished piece—from moisture content and to flattening and finishing.
That experience gave us a real appreciation for the craft and the patience it demands. Yet It also showed us that you don’t need to be an expert to build something meaningful and modern for your home—you just need the right materials, some guidance, and the willingness to learn. That’s exactly what we aim to offer at Royal Slabs.
Our focus is on offering raw, uncured slabs at a lower cost to make woodworking more affordable. By selling slabs that haven't been kiln-dried, we keep prices down and open the door for DIY builders, makers, and any craftsman interested.
These slabs are ideal for people who want to be part of every stage of their project, from drying and flattening to finishing. We're not just selling wood, we're encouraging creativity, experimentation and hands-on learning.
We source our logs responsibly, often salvaging them from tree removal companies, and local home owners. Instead of sending these trees to the chipper or landfill we give them a second life at furniture. The results are slabs full of character, unique grain patterns, live edges, and natural features you can never find in mass produced lumber.
Whether you're building a table, shelves, mantles etc. We want to help you find the right slab to start your next project. Royal Live Edge Slabs is here to support makers who are willing to get their hands dirty and try something new.
